Privacy note for listeners
An engineer sent you a link to this page so that you can hear their studio session live, see their screen, and talk to them. This note says what the page does with your data. You need no account; the page sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising.
The sound, the picture, your voice and the chat
They go directly between the engineer's computer and your device, encrypted. When no direct path exists, Cloudflare's relay servers pass them on, still encrypted. We do not record or keep any of it. The chat stays on the engineer's computer, which can save it.
Your microphone is used only for TALK, and your voice reaches the engineer only while you hold TALK. On a computer, once you allow it, the browser may keep the microphone open while this page is open, so that TALK starts at once; nothing is sent until you hold TALK.
What is exchanged to connect
To connect, your device and the engineer's computer exchange network details through our connection service, among them each side's internet (IP) address, so each side learns the other's. They are kept until the session ends, two hours at most.
The diagnostic log, during the beta
While Studio Stream is in beta, this page sends a diagnostic log of the session to BuYüm Audio about every 30 seconds, so that problems can be found and fixed. It holds:
- what happened in the session, with times by your device's clock: connecting, the sound buffer, TALK, errors;
- your browser and its version, your device's system and kind (phone or computer), the window size, and whether the microphone is allowed;
- the settings your browser gave the microphone, but not its name and not its id;
- the session's id.
It never holds any sound, picture or chat, your internet address, or the name of your device or of your microphone. It is deleted after seven days. It is stored with Cloudflare, and only BuYüm Audio reads it, to fix problems, with the help of an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic).
Who else is involved
Cloudflare runs our servers: this page, the connection service and the log storage. Like any web host, it sees your internet address when your device connects. This page loads nothing from any other site, its fonts included.
On your device
Your browser keeps the microphone you chose for TALK, and your answer to the microphone question, until you clear this site's data.
